My order arrived and I am quite happy with it so far: I wanted to be able to connect and mix my existing Behringer modules with the AE modules. And: yes, I know... Behringer is a bit controversial. I have added a small drum section and a DYI section (which I am particularly excited about). One thing I noticed is that the volume of the DRUMKIT 010 is quite low compared to the other modules. I found out, that this topic has already been addresses in this forumI am going to play with some GRAINS firmware modules now and I will let you know how that works out for me

I forgot to mention the "synth section" with 2OSC/d, 2ENV, 2VCA. And I am using a laptop stand for easier access:

This is one of the few electronic music forums where you can just discuss using Behringer stuff. Quite a few forum members have the Neutron which works well with the AE,

Yes I do own a neutron but I still think they're a company with a questionable business model to say the least. I prefer AE any day over the neutron since it really helped me to wrap my head around the modular synthesis. Neutron with its prepatched setup and patchbay on the side was too confusing, not intuitive, you can't read the patch like on a real modular.

Γ spaceship already landed just begun scratching it's surface and made some test recordings. All in all very happy with it and so far. Only one small problem i will post about in appropriate thread. Patch cables smell goood

Just powered on the used system I bought (so not really new stuff, but new-to-me)! Tons of fun. Already got a few modules and more patchwires inbound from Noisebug, and already planning out my next 2x16 case haha. My plan is to decide which signal sources I like the most and remove the rest, making more room for effects, modulation sources and control surfaces. I can't wait for the heartbeat clock module, not to mention a more-flexible MIDI module that I've seen some rumors about. I'd love to build an ISD module for some lo-fi sampling. I'm migrating over from Eurorack, and I can't wait to actually be able to afford a modular system that I can build entire tracks on.

Welcome reductionist_earth_catalog ! Glad to have you here, looks like a fun system π Don't know if you've seen it, but i had a go at incorporating the ISD1820 into AE Modular some time ago: forum.aemodular.com/thread/1168/small-microphone-recorder-playback-moduleWas really easy to connect, of course very Lo-fi but a lot of fun. Another AE user made a very nice version with a frontpanel and a 3D printer Mic holder even. Honestly i should revisit the chip and try to make a small DIY kit for it, i even ordered 20 ISD's which i still have.. π€

Always approach those springs with caution though, they're not that sturdy and if they break then you basically have to buy a new reverb tank.

Little experimental case to try the freshly arrived modules before moving them into the monster case. π₯³ Just needs to scratch a bit the five step as it's not fitting in the case but no biggy π http://instagram.com/p/CXRXLwIqjKu
