It is this time of year again. Jamuary is a YouTube phenomenon where synthesists upload a jam almost every day. These jams can be super short or as long as you like. Main goal is to have fun!
Please upload your jams to YouTube or Soundcloud with hashtag #jamuary2022
Here is my first jam:

bar is set high on this one Carsten. I noticed you came up as a separate suggestion when scrolling #jamuary2022 and saw you had #jamuary22.
Is there and official one or it just doesn't matter really. new to the # thing.

Is there and official one or it just doesn't matter really. new to the # thing. I got confused and at first I put #jamuary22 but then I saw more posts on YT tagged with #jamuaru2022 so I switched. Please post your video here on this thread as well!

ah cool didn't realise you had changed it already! My jam is starting off simple to see how it develops over the month. so here is the first. Due to recent discussions it is starting with the seq8 and random mode along with the 5 steps and Grains with a bit of Cirrus as a mark of RIP respect for thehatghost

namke blew me away. this was wonderful! and that reverb is amazing.... Thanks! The MULTIFX gets a lot of use over here! I’ve always loved huge reverbs (Quadraverb’s ‘deep space echo’ back in the day), and the MULTIFX definitely delivers

Amazon jam, namke! Which firmware did you use on the core.ae? It sounds massive.

Ah, the good old Scheveningen oscillator! I've got this installed on my GRAINS, but completely forgot about it ... time to dust it off! Thanks for the inspiration.

Added an envelope to Solina and some ducking Noise thanks to pol for reminding me that Module exists. Cirrus is doing the whistling.

Here's my second jam for this month, enjoy!
I find that my inspiration comes from sound design. I look at this blank wall of synth, no cables, no idea, no sound. Then I start patching one of the oscillators and then I think about modulating it in different ways ... and then a few hours later I have a whole track and I have no idea how that all came together. It definitely wasn't planned or composed!

Second jam — maybe if I did them a bit earlier in the day they'd be less eerie? The recording just snuck in under the wire at 1154pm on the 2nd…
Self triggering envelope driving a couple of core1.æ modues (Bastl Kastle and Kastle Drum firmwares) with FMOS droning along. MULTIFX on rvb+delay setting

I played around a bit today. It's very ad-hoc, not very inspired I guess, but it's something.

tgergo "not very inspired I guess" I disagree, pretty cool actually. almost sounds like a symphony going on.

What maydonpoliris said. You, managed to evoke a symphonic atmosphere with very minimal sounds, and instill this imposing marching feel not un-similar to the Imperial March. Interesting jam.

Thank you pt3r and maydonpoliris, I really appreciate the supportive feedback. admin, I really like how there are drastic changes in the 2nd jam that are happening completely organically.
