dizzeesatchel I like how you played the Cirrus, something I should learn. I've done a droney thing too. This time using the Algodrone through the ADSR that arrived yesterday. Tried to get an Aboriginal Kangaroo dance around the fire feel.

Finally got some Studio time, think I'm busier now semi-retired than when I worked full time!

More experimentation with 3VCSWITCH routing of pitch CV. Your work reminds me the release "Ecstatic Computation" from Caterina barbieri. Sounds great

If you don't have enough voices you just reuse the same voice through a different signal path, rAEcyling FTW.

I kind of feel like this comparison does not benefit me. I mean if you listen to her music it's going to make mine sound really bad. I didn't want the buzzing/humming to be this loud to be honest.

I love how even if you don't have time to do jam recordings you can enjoy what others have done. nice one pAeples. pt3r "If you don't have enough voices you just reuse the same voice through a different signal path, rAEcyling FTW." I'm starting to do this more too running your main voice through another patch especially the Wavefolder to get more depth. still laughing at the Kangaroo rave too. pol great to see you got some studio time in, I love a bit of grit. tgergo you have reminded me I need to get the 3VCswitch!

I made it! Finally a jam for this list As I had less time and energy (winter stuf..), I found myself mainly grabbing my Digitakt for quick jams in the couch, not really having/making time for patching (I also have a fresh chess obsession that consumes HOURS ). Over the weekend I did sit with AE Modular for an hour, and had great fun patching, although I thought the end result was not really worth sharing.. But I recorded all the different AE voices into my Digitakt, and later in the week I warped them into a, imho very pleasing, ambient texture. Making them go in reverse/forward, switching filters, switching loop points etc, all with some random probabilities keeping it fresh. I ended up jamming on top of it with my Microfreak through Microcosm for some wide-open pads. I'm pretty proud of the result!

I've been thinking about sampling my AE as keep getting some interesting sounds but then not doing much with them. I hope the Chess obsession fades so you get back to designing more modules....

After pt3r 's tip regarding LFO's and Poly rhythms without using a sequencer I tried to do just that. 2 LFO's went into the Logic Module then into 2AttCV to Quantiser then into a VCO to create the voice. For the melody the VCO Tri Wave then fed into the SVFilter (2 outs from the SV 1 into the Wavefolder for depth the other into the mixer) For the Acidy bits the VCO Square Wave fed into the WaspFilter then Mixer. The Melody was played manually via the 2AttCV Cheers.

Ooh percussive... melodic... the phrases that are 'played' manually into the mix. The lick meets forbidden planet... very nice. Your best jam so far.

Hi All, This is my 26th. Cheers! The swung rhythm and live feeling reminds me a bit of old Animal Collective demo's/unreleased lofi material (which coincidentally is my favorite band ever ). It has that robotic yet human feel, being both happy/uptempo and aggressive/weird, really dig it! I think you play AE most as a real instrument of anyone hear, always awesome to see.

Very much appreciated pt3r and keurslagerkurt stoked! For this one I was trying to hold back on the patching, not have everything playing at once and to really take in some of the forum advice so I'm pleased it was enjoyable. and i also have a new group Animal Collective to listen to.

Hello fellow AE enthusiasts. My first post finally on the forum! Quite late into jaemuary but I’m hoping to get one or two more in before the month ends. Took the time to mentally structure this before I hit record, had a few tries at making something with a structure without thinking about it too much. Maybe could’ve lasted a few minutes less, but hell I’m happy to kickstart a new musical project off with this.

The title says it all. THIS WAS AWESOME! Having just watched the documentary "Sisters with Transistors", this little patch very much reminded me of something Pauline Oliveros or Eliane Radigue would play. Well done!

I love this jam, it rocks and it really showcases the original "AE Modular" sound.

I can only concur those two jams were pretty massive both in their own distinct way. I agree with admin on the sisters reference. that was a very solid first jam (root)² we hope to hear more where that came from
