I shuffled the prices around to make it cheaper if you want to get it shipped via a faster method.

Just to check are there no parts to solder then, or are they prepopulated on the board?
Just a case of cleaning off the solder on those six points and making sure the fix board is flush against the module PCB?

I just didn't want to waste a populated board for the guide. just to be clear , you do still have to ‘resolder’ those 6 points?? it’s not like the volca midi hack boards where they are just held by a screw? it’s just that there is no SMD ‘component to pcb’ stuff to do?

Turns out your snails are very fast indeed... Landed! Haha, I hired only the best. 🐌 Let me know how it goes. I didn't actually have a 'production' v1.0 unit to test on.

Well that appears to be job done - I say appears as I haven't tested extensively yet, but there's no smoke and it's triggered my s&h so... Easy job - only tricky bit is soldering the tiny bit (first bit), though once everythings attached and in place it's just a case of reflowing. Fun fact: I only needed to suck the two power header parts (and could probably have done it without even that): very little solder on the display side of the production unit. Five minute job!

Wonderful. Glad everything went well. 😁 Now, everyone can direct their assembly questions to tIB! (I jest ofc)

Tested earlier - works like a charm! Thanks so much for coming through with this... I'm well pleased.
Suppose if anyone in the UK wants the fix but is worried about doing it I could lend a hand.

no sign of mine yet , but i prob ordered it a good few days after the initial announcement.. If it's heading overseas it can take a number of weeks and it did take me a little while to finish them after the announcement. If it for some reason doesn't show up in a reasonable amount of time I'm happy to send another.

I see you have the best solder sucker ever made, the mighty EDSYN SOLDAPULLT. No solder can stand before its mighty suction! Mine always ends up with a little notch in one side of the nozzle from pressing it down on a soldering iron tip. This only makes it better, I think.
My tiny lil fix board arrived today and I will install it soon!

Yes, yes, and yes. Mine is also battle-scarred, but it still works better than anything else I've used. 😁
