With the recent surge of gear lust (damn you filterbank with your unconfirmed release date) I would like to address the proverbial pachyderm (better go look up that word you uncultured swine  ) in the room; what module in you current setup has received the least amount of love over the time spent in your AE modular? Which module did you buy with big ideas about how you would use it and push your patching to the next level but eventually you must admit that you used it once or twice and now it's sitting there in your rack looking/blinking at you relentlessly filling you with buyers guilt? Don't hold back no need for shame here. This is a safe place. You are amongst fellow freaks. Shoot. |

I had some ideas, hopes, expectations. But in the end I use my two GRAINS modules more often. But I will give it another try soon. I still think this is a great module |

I just looked around my rack and there are a few that I looked at guiltily, but one module was screaming 'What about me!....it isn't fair!" and that is the SwitchMatrix. I had a longing for this one and haven't used it the way I dreamed.........

Similar to duddex, I would have to say TBD. I always load it as a Moog filter, send SOLINA to it and call it a day, which is a shame as it can do so much more 😉 |

Yes I am ashamed I haven't started using the Logic and Or2x4 modules yet! So useful but other modules seem to shout louder. Good idea for a challenge maybe (have not checked if there is one already).

Shoot. the pachyderm studio has produces some excellent albums (pj harvey, andrew bird for instance) but maybe you are referring to the machine learning usage ... |

Switchmatrix for me as well... I just never found a way to use it that matched my workflow.
On the other hand, the Phaser module has made a guest appearance in every patch I've ever made. 😁
(Euclid Grid as well, but I don't feel like that counts as much for me, haha... 😅)

It had blinky lights though... I had to get it... 🥹
Also, others thoughts on the TBD is why I never picked that one up. Multipurpose modules never work for my brain, because their open-endedness prevents me from deciding on a way to use them in a patch.

On the other hand, the Phaser module has made a guest appearance in every patch I've ever made. 😁 (Euclid Grid as well, but I don't feel like that counts as much for me, haha... 😅) whereas it’s the opposite for me ... i often use the Switcheroo with random cv switching presets to fire bursts of stuff into fx or filters.. but the Phaser I have never quite found anything that it made sound ‘nicer’ ... perhaps because i don’t have the Solina and most oscillations i do are a bit atonal & narstee. i thought that would change with namke HH110 mini module ... phased hihats seems like a good way to go ... but unfortunately i’ve popped that module on first use wiring it on the braedboard!! argggghh! and now it makes nothing but clicking.. robertlanger where are my uBASEPLATES??!!! you could have saved the life of this poor tiny module..  |

I don't think I have ever used my Sample & Hold in a patch where I've recorded music/sound for a video etc......
I have not used my Logic and OR2x4 modules much either - Patch CHallenge 23 was the first time in ages!

Quite fancy the Tube-VU for the same reason! Would of bought by now but needing another power supply puts me off,

For me Cirrus has been - well i won't say dissapointing, but i have never really managed to make it do anything interesting, so it do not see many patchwires.

I really need to put the joystick module back in my rack. Now that the digitakt has a song mode and I don’t have to perform pattern changes, I need macro performance points in my rack to make things more dynamic.
