Build us a patch with your most overlooked module and finally convince us all but mostly yourself of its usefulness.

So what is going on here? I sent 4 different squarewave LFOs with different speeds and pulsewidths into my ugly duckling the SWITCHMATRIX its 4 output go into keurslagerkurt 's GREAT DIVIDE to generate a constantly evolving cv which gets extra variations by cycling trough the different setups of the SWITCHMATRIX via a cv coming from keurslagerkurt 's SLOTH sent which results in the constant changing of the position in which the four LFOs are fed into the GREAT DIVIDE. The cv coming out of the GREAT DIVIDE is fed through SLEW to soften the transitions between the different values. This slewed cv goes into the QUANTIZER to generate distinct note values that are use to control a 2VCO saw wave going into WAVEFOLDER into an SV filter. the note change trigger from QUANTIZER goes into the MIDI clock divider to lower their rate which go into AECLIDIAN to trigger the envelope of the VCO notes and the MIDI divider triggers trigger my 2 SEQ 8s in random mode to modulate ALGODRONE and GRAINS for some extra scrapey goodness which get their fair share of modulation through a bunch of VCAs.

That was an awesomely comlicated way to show that modulea little TLC.
Very nice sounding patch.

Nice work, as so often with your patches, it made me go "IT'S ALIVE???!!" Switch matrix is def my #1 ugly duckling, together with the SLEW and TRIP module. Should try to cook something this week as well..

Here's my entry, mathiascapdet.bandcamp.com/track/echoed-bellsAnd a photo of the patch (one of these days I'll do a video but it's probably not going to be that different from just a picture of it 😉) Took me a while to do this one, I guess there's a reason why I don't use the module so much. I scratched multiple ideas before getting to this one but I'm finally not too displeased with the result 😉 The patch is centered around TBD, it's the main voice (running the rings emulation mode) and also some FX (in clouds emulation mode, so the classic rings into clouds thing 😁). I wanted something a bit different for the melody generation, so the idea here was to mix 3 LFOs, quantize the result and use the pitch to drive TBD. The gates generated when pitch changes are driving envelopes, filters and a crossfade between TBD and and fully wet reverb of it.

This is my attempt to rekindle some love for my ugly duckling The Switch Matrix is turning the random mode on/off in one seq8 module and also clocking on/off the second seq8 The newly acquired 2Auto by Kyaa is changing the pattern numbers and also creating a little riff through the quantiser module into the VCO The Seq8 is triggering the Norns Shield Timber/Player script which has a couple of 808 samples loaded up. Because the Ae does not have midi out this is done via the Arduino Uno CV Gate to Midi converter by reductionist_earth_catalog forum.aemodular.com/thread/2265/gate-midi-convertercheers

The Seq8 is triggering the Norns Shield Timber/Player script which has a couple of 808 samples loaded up. Nice you managed to get that working, it's really neat to see the Norns controlled from AE 😁 Lovely layers of texture as usual. It's impressive how you kept the track unified across all the sound sources!

thanks mathias Happy you thought so, you've made my day. It is pretty cool to be able to control the Norns via the Ae. Going to have a lot of fun with it I think.

Wow maydonpoliris goes mainstream J/K mate, excellent to see you have that NORNS interfacing figured out, a whole new world is awaiting, not sure whether the main stream will be ready for it.

Wanted this to be my ugly duckling patch, using the VM Bridge (for the first time after getting it months ago wooops) and Switch matrix:
In the end I used both ugly ducklings, but not as much as i wanted.. I wanted to use the switchmatrix to semi-randomly switch which TRIG channel was triggering the bassline. I couldn't figure it out in the short term, so i just did some manual switching. Pairing the Volca Modular & AE was real fun tho, they go great together.
