Ah yes another legend. I did not mean to make this thread only about about women pioneering in electronic music but it turns out that the early days of electronics had quite a few remarkable women who were each absolute forebearers in a genre that was not established as a genre yet.

Very interesting. Imagine doing a gig with your Ae and people are throwing bottles at it.....crazy. Are those times gone? I hope so.
Looking forward to viewing the other vids in this thread.

I wonder what's most impressive the drum machine playing or the fact that he can sit for that long in crouched position. I would need someone to help me up again, poor knees.

Groundbreaking pioneers? I think we should also mention Venetian Snares. I remember him creating such a buzz on the internet with his early sublight records releases - early 2000's. And then he released Rossz Csillag Alatt Született. Kind of his Magnus Opus.

Any pioneers in EM has to include Tangerine Dream, especially Edgar Froese.....
Mind boggling quantities of great music that evolved over the years.

Not sure totally on this thread's meaning, but early Ultravox were major pioneers of synths in Pop/Rock - the albums Ultravox!, HA HA HA and Systems of Romance.... Some great music. Instrumental (pun intended) in this as with a lot of 70s/early 80s music Conny Plank was involved....
