Everything Ends Here – AE Sample & Hold module

New to AE Modular, new to modular, I was fishing around for more interesting audio electronics projects to build after a bunch of pedals (delay, gristlier, distortion etc). It wasn't too long before I got hold of starter rack 1 and an Arturia BSP, a month later I added a second osc, vca, wavefolder and use it to find my own way, as a newbie, through the theories, patches, practices and musical ideas and see where it takes me. 

Because the S&H plus the 2ATT/CV take up two of the starter 1 rack's 14 modules I am always thinking there must be many ways of using them. Following a scrap of information by another member on this forum I worked out an S&H patch using an osc as source, lfo trigger, 2s&h > 2ATT, out1 2ATT > 2nd osc, out2 2ATT +5 > cv of source osc, 2nd osc > mixer(probably nothing like the reference as I couldn't figure it out). Then I was blown away by this wonderful video of Cortini and Buchla performing 'Everything Ends Here' and patched another couple of voices to the S&H patch (slowing the lfo right down from it's initial driving pulse) in an attempt at a tribute – and my first ever AE Modular video. 

Any more S&H insights would be most welcome.
