Only a few more days to go! Please make sure to send me your tracks if you want to make it onto this year's album. So far we have 14 submissions and about 61 minutes play time. That's really really cool, but there's definitely room for more tracks! Here's a hint ... if you contact me and tell me that you are definitely working on a track I might grant you one or two days extension

Sorry guys, I'll miss this one as my AE Modular has been packed away for a few months (again); hope to rectify soon but if my music is my only casualty of Covid-19 I'll be happy!

So sorry to be late on this one and thanks for extending the deadline! I’m recording right now I’ve been absent from this and other communities recently, due to lots of work-related stuff and traveling. I had composed the MIDI data for my AEM track a while ago already, but just didn’t find the time at home to record.

Finished my track, slept over it and submitted it just now. Phew! That was fun though! Haven’t done an “old-school” modular synth MIDI multi-track recording in a while. Actually ... I haven’t done that since the previous Aether Waves compilation I usually just patch something from scratch, record one or more performances and edit them in a DAW. Composing, designing specific sounds and recording them was refreshing now! My Modules arrived these days, so maybe i get something on the way until monday... but i'm not good at working under pressure... but i try it since yesterday. You can do it!

Hello all, submissions for this album are now CLOSED.I'm very very happy about the turnout, well done everyone. We now have 25 tracks with a total play time of about 1 hour 45 minutes!! The sonic range is very broad and shows the many ways in which the AE Modular can be used. spacedog is now starting to master all the tracks and then I'll prepare the album on Bandcamp. We hope to have it all ready for release in time for the next Bandcamp Friday which is on the 6th of November! As with the first album all proceeds should go to a charity, but we would like to send it to a different one this time. Please let me know if you have any ideas ... it should be operating internationally and have a good track record.

Wow that's a lot of content! Good work all.
I think it would be cool to donate to something relevant to music, or electronics since that's how all of our music was made. Something that puts creative tools or training into the hands of kids (or adults) who normally wouldn't be able to, or aren't typically exposed to it.
This idea was inspired by the afrorack charity (does not qualify, not international).

In my opinion, no matter how bad things are, kids are still kids. They want to play, they want to explore. If music can help them escape their reality even for a second, it could foster the mentality of change, knowing there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Not to mention the cognitive and problem solving benefits of music

true true, i just always have a ridiculous urge to see the bigger problems solved... despite the fact that that would cost 10s of millions of pounds in ‘assassination fees’

I was sceptical as well at first, but I checked out their website and even their recent financial reports and it seems like a nice and serious charity.
