hi,
i m new here, just looking maybe for a starter rack for fun when i get enough money..
is there possibility to change things on this starter rack 1 or 2 ? because the price is nice, but add a bigger rack for futur will be nice i think.. like for classical modular, better to get more bigger rack..
there is possibility to get the same things but with bigger rack ? ? ? for starter 1 or 2...
because if i get module / all the starter 1 or 2 individualy the price is bigger and if i get bigger rack is it more again...

Yes, of course the standard racks can be changed individually! Just drop me a line by email, then we can manage the changes.
In the future some more options will be offered for the starter systems on the shop; e.g. the option "bigger case" makes sense!

3 questions please..
- so for a starter rack if i want to change the rack (and maybe add some module..) i just send you a mail for to change and i wait you give me invoice for ?
- advice about wire please, because if i go on the 20x1 rack, because maybe more longer wire (that the pack wire whois with starter)
- i m newbie modular, user of elektron analog four and preenfm2 actually, go for ae modular because i love Lofi_afronaut aka Blackmoth work (and other user..), i love his Nebulae rack, maybe to much for a beginner..
so i think go for a Starter rack 1 with 20x1 rack, advice about module to add please ? (yes the subject is so often debate...)
and, maybe it is stupid but, or maybe i create a new subject about that..
why about starter rack on option you will propose like... starter rack drum, or starter rack ambient, or starter rack drone... in the idea...
i admit want drone/indus/ambient sound with my ae modular..

Wire advice: if you get a wider case you will need greens, but in general I suggest getting a second assorted pack... You WILL run out.
If you want to do drones/ambient, I suggest getting more filters, and multifx. The new wavetable would probably work great as well!

about rack..
i see that the actually rack can be connect between them with Hinge kit type 1 or 2 ..
does if i get 1x20 and if in time i get an other 1x20 is it enough for connect between them ?
at what moment you need use the module Racklink kit ?? understand it is for the old rack, but if you grow rack what is the power limit master can ? (curiosity...)

(curiosity...) thx Hi, to connect two cases you only need the hinge kit and only one master module in one case. The master module can draw up to 800mA which is plenty! Check out grid.aemodular.com where you can design your dream rack and it will tell you how much power all the modules will draw. |

FYI, Robert's told me that a MASTER is capable of powering two 20 x 2 cases. Definitely check the amperage listings in the AE Grid, though.
As for how to expand from a single case...this is so brilliant...the hinge kit also comes with a little linking ribbon cable. This connects two cabs via the multipin headers on the sides of the left end, and connects power, ground, and busses.
