Hey all! Hope you're all doing well. I'm about a month or so into my AE Modular journey, and I'm absolutely loving it, it's such a great system. I've finally got to grips with it all, and am fairly confident using it now! I'm just beginning to consider where to go next, I won't be making any purchases for a while but thought I'd start thinking about it - so here's yet another forum post asking for suggestions of what modules to buy! ;-) I already picked up a couple of modules to go with the Starter Rack when I first purchased it from Juno, so have attached an image of my current system. I'm not interested in any particular style of music, I do a little of everything - mainly using the system at the moment for acousmatic soundscape things. I've found the Topograf is amazing for generating random rhythmic sequences mid-jam, it's great to plug in and get going straight away. The modules I'm vaguely considering at the moment are the drumkit to make friends with the Topograf and Kick, and the Algodrone & Solina look really cool. Of course, because of the new sound sources I'd look at another 2ENV and 2VCA - aside from that any suggestions are welcome, possibly 4ATTMIX but I think I could possibly cope with just using MULT to mix signals. Any suggestions would be much appreciated, cheers! Attachments:

I think the 4ATT/MIX is great and a second mixer like that is pretty much mandatory for an expanded 2-row system in my opinion. Also, one usually is discouraged from using MULTs as mixers in modular synth land ;-)
Depending on your soundscape preferences I’d go with the Solina for smooth and mellow sounds or the Algodrone for harsh sounds. Or Solina and the Wavefolder for harsh sounds.
The Drum Kit and additional envelopes make sense of course, because of your many triggers sources. Also have a look at the Lopag, which can be struck by triggers for percussive sounds.

I'm quite possibly thinking the two, I can see a lot of uses for the two of them - loved your Algodrone overview on YouTube!

Yep, NEVER use a mult as a mixer! Reason is, if the modules whose outputs you've all patched together don't have reverse signal protection on those outputs, you'll be pumping the combination of all signals _back into_ each source in addition to the destination. This isn't a good idea, and can easily lead to damage to the modules in question. This applies to ALL modular synths, as well as a number of other devices that don't like to see hot signals coming back into their outputs.
My suggestion for expansion, btw: SEQ8 + QUANTIZER + 3VCSWITCH...I use multiple SEQ16s here, and they're super useful, and since you have quite a bit of the clocking tools already, you might as well jump on into voltage sequencing alongside that.
