a domino shaped mult
- when laying flat down on a surface the connections are into the edges - thus the wires then is parallel to the surface (not vertical)
- 2 connections each at the short ends - 6 connections each at the long sides

AND/OR a stand-alone VU-meter module
- change the slide switch to a 3-step version - flip it to be horizontal (instead of vertical) positioned below the volume knob
- switched to left position being only left channel into left at headphone
- switched to right position being only right channel into right at headphone - switched to middle position then being the stereo
- move the volume knob (with the slide switch below it) to be positioned below the jack plugs
- add out-left & out-right pass through + two 3x-mult -> patch sockets @ the right (maybe change the 6x mult @ the left -> two 3x ?) OR change the sockets -> - A left/right in, B left/right in + 4x mult
- A left/right out, B left/right out + 4x mult AND add a switch (vertical positioned to the left of the volume knob) to select if A-in or B-in goes to the headphone (and the VU-meters suggested below)
- add 2 x VU-meter in the (now free) space below (maybe a bit up between) the patch sockets - one each for showing left & right
Could be an idea ? to make a VU-meter module (with same 2 x 8 patch points) as a 'stand-alone' module as well
I think the above is SO brilliant an idea that; I'd be willing to pay what it cost just to make 1 module for me ! ;O

Yeah, we really do need a ring modulator.

This has been requested for a long time now. really ? :)
Because I did take care and did a search for such before making the suggestion ;O

No stress, my post was not meant like that, but I seem to remember that ring modulation in the AE realm has been discussed before. So yes I am also waiting for it. The ring modulation explanation on wikipedia show some waveform examples that I can recreate on my Modular tinkering with the brAEboard gets me a a long way. In the same way that you can build a (half) rectifier with some opamps.

Hi, waiting for a dedicated module, we can do this with logic module:
For ringmodulator-like sounds, connect one audio rate oscillator to 1A and another one to 1B. Try different wave shapes. Square and pulse work best but other shapes give interesting glitchy effects. You can make serious sounds by patching two square waves into the A inputs of the XOR, then two square waves into the B inputs. Take the outputs of the two XOR and patch them into the A and B input of a third XOR an then listen to the output while slowly adjusting the frequency of the oscillators

I would like a uCASE designed to connect with the VCASE-7. So, 7u for micro modules that I can add to the top of bottom edge of my case and free up space in the main rack for full height modules. That would be exceedingly helpful.

Or as namke suggested in the Discord: "More useful would be a quickswap case with a μModule row in the top, seeing as UBASE is incompatible with QS 🤔". That would be great!

Or as namke suggested in the Discord: "More useful would be a quickswap case with a μModule row in the top, seeing as UBASE is incompatible with QS 🤔". That would be great! i give Robert a ‘nudge’ about this every now & again , it’s absolutely what’s missing from the Quickswap thing for me , it’s possible it might take a while as QS cases were expensive to proto & get manufactured,, and maybe not have had a huge uptake yet as it’s a pricey option ( though again not really, in comparison with eurorack cases WITHOUT this feature ) many are perhaps happy with big normal case set ups with ALL their modules in but i definitely prefer having a focused small (12 or 16) case and a few boxes of modules to super speedy swap out . as the horizontal mu base plates already exist , one imagines that it wouldn’t be a huge stretch to extend the height of the metal cases and have a row ‘up top’ connected ... but i know money is tight at Tangible at the mo’ so such pricey modifications might be at the back of the queue?

That looks kinda really cool !? - though the schematic looks like this ;O - also icony wouldn't 'fit' the AE layout scheme :)
I'm a novice but to me it sounds right ... ? :)

Your right, the schematic of the ring modulator is more complex but at the front I am putting only a symbolic drawing indicating what is behind!

This has been requested for a long time now. and many seems to have worked on it ! :) - here's more 'help' in case Robert needs it ?! :)
Also; it seems one can use LED(diodes) thus it could make for a 'kinky' faceplate as well
