am super excited to see the sample player in development!
Does the sample player being in top under "development" mean it's the first or last in queue to go into prototyping or is there no particular order to that?

Hi guys, the order of items on that page does not indicate the order of development or release. Robert is a free spirit and works on modules as inspiration guides him  But seriously, developing a new module from design to product readiness is a long and often tedious process and some modules are harder than others. Then Robert has to work every day just on getting orders assembled and shipped, so development of modules is now happening in between or after hours which slows things down a bit. That said ... there are quite a few new exciting modules in the works that will be released soon and they aren't even on that page! |

I can say the following about the sample player: The basic functionality of reading the SD card and playback, basic looping, pitch control is running on the breadboard, and the results sound reeeally promising! I decided to share the development with a friend from the community to get this thing ready ASAP, simply because I want it by myself, too!

My initial reaction was, don't need this, but it would make the AE module like a Roland D50 or, now, quite a few other synths where you can mix samples and synth sounds, filter etc etc. I really want one now! I really like the thing with modular that you can bugger about with parameters you can't normally play with on regular synths, hopefully the sample player will continue that tradition....
