As far as I know it’s the smallest traditional modular synth module format. There are smaller modular synths which don’t offer individual modules (like the Kastle) and there are the Korg littleBits, which have individual modules but a different concept when it comes to combining them.

No! Syinsi has been pushing for a while to get a full line of modules in the "standard" 1U Eurorack tile format, and they seem to be pretty close. They even have a tile-only CASE.

Yep...brings a whole new meaning to API's use of the term "lunchbox"!

no i think the erica synths pico systems 1 or 2 were smallest .. but not cheapest by a long chalk.. and once you’ve got a complex set of cables in it’s impossible to see anything.. there’s also an obscure square tile system.. but i can’t remember the name of that one.. AE wins for me for the size/cost/lightness ratio oops, didn’t notice rodney had posted that tile system

I would love to hear what you are playing there! Thanks @careck! The module selection was based primarily on the arrival of modules the day before I left :p However, in one of your videos you mention the beauty of the lil' pipsqueak for it's quick ability to feel inspired so I did try to think about what could form a nice, self-contained package. i really thought about what to include and eventually decided on the 2OSCD, SV Filter, 2ENV, Algodrone, Solina, MSFilter, LFO, Mixer and 4I/O. Having an external sequencer allowed for flexibility as I was able to route the 2OSC eventually to the 4I/O and get two patterns going and then focus on the Algodrone and Solina. I think I had something I really liked by hour four of the plane ride--though it's amazing what cabin pressure will do to one's judgement!
