At long last, I bring you...THIS:
Yep, there it is, prior to boxing up over in Murnau. The blanks are for either missing modules that have yet to be released, or in the case of the ones next to the SEQ16s, the mounting for the Nanobridge. FYI, the cases are out of order...from top to bottom, you see cabs #1, 4, 2, and 3. MASTERs are in the middle, facing each other.

Wow! That’s incredible! Do you already know how you’ll mount it? Or will it simply sit flat on a table?

Woot! Fantastic, I can't wait to see those mounted in that special rack that you've got for this. Also looking forward to your music with this!

I think you’ll need some custom patch cables for that haha

Yep...just take Keith Emerson's custom modular and throw it in the dryer for waaaaaaay too long! Didn't know Moog hardware shrank like that, didja? Worse than cashmere...but DEFINITELY about as expensive!

I think you’ll need some custom patch cables for that haha Laugh not, monkey boy! I'm already on that issue, since the AE _also_ has to interconnect with the Mescaline, Softpop, bitRanger, and the KOMA Field Kits...not to mention the thruput via the Nanobridge to the rest of the 3.5mm and 1/4" world. So, obviously I'll have to sort out a goofproof method for putting _everything_ in "the Sandbox" on a common groundplane. It _seems_ easy enough, but you have to make 100% sure there's no latent voltage between devices that might cause some sort of component damage. Hours of poking at things with the multimeter, etc etc...
...and speaking of that "monkey boy" thing from "Buckaroo Bonzai", I really need to source up a "Yoyodyne Engineering" logo sticker for the backside of the stand. Hopefully it makes people at my occasional live gigs either very curious, very amused, or downright _scared!_

Finally Gargantua arises! Crawling out of its cave in the alps to bring sonic screams over all human beings. Cant wait to see this in action.

And 1/2 of it (or thereabouts) IS HERE. Cabs 1 and 2 arrived today along with the wallwart + patchwires. DHL says that the second box is in customs, hopefully meaning it'll be along in a day or two. Keeping my eye on USPS tracking as we speak...
...and my god, this thing is just beautiful! Pictures forthcoming after the second box gets here.

Gosh, that is a big fella!
Does anyone have any idea what is the biggest AE Modular system yet built? Just out of interest....
Have fun with it Lugia!

According to Robert, this is the largest factory build thus far. But note that "thus far" part...
As it turns out, the other box just left New Jersey today...on its way here at last. My guess is Friday...
And apparently the WUHAN DEATH PLAGUE (tm) isn't slowing mail or other deliveries here, at least not yet, so that prediction should hold out.
And when looking over the first two cabs, I saw...yep, probably the last STEP10. THANK YOU, ROBERT!!!! I have PLANS for that thing...

COVID-19 is a better name for it, as it's killed plenty thousands of people outside of Wuhan. No need to mislead; the virus does not discriminate. Actually, I like the DEATH PLAGUE part; it's pretty descriptive. Maybe COVID DEATH PLAGUE? RETURN OF THE SARS? CORONA STRIKES BACK?

I think it is safe to say that the virus originated in Wuhan and all the reports seem to support that. But yeah I like to call it COVID-19 which makes it less about a region or people but about the science.

I think it's funny how universal the package delay through customs is, as I can totally relate to Lugia 's shipping experience. Two packages shipped from Tangible Waves within a day of each other, the first one sailing right to me within two weeks, and the second caught up in customs. Oh, to be a fly in the wall in those sorting rooms...

Yeah, I usually call it Covid-19 as well...but one DOES get tired of seeing that term over and over. I like repetition and all, but let's let the likes of Philip Glass and Klaus Schulze have the corner on that concept...
Anyway, I now have the second box "phoning home", after a fashion. USPS is giving me text alerts as it moves. As of right now, it's somewhere between Jersey City and here. With luck, this means Friday, but the other function of the USPS text alerts is to make sure I'm up and waiting when the box goes out for delivery. I recommend the hell out of using this service!

We are all waiting! (especially now more of us are WFH and spending mentally-damaging levels of time on the internet (Or, as Austalians like to call our deliberately-crippled-to-protect-Foxtel national broadband network: the inertnet).

It's here, but no unboxing pics of the second box. I went ahead and opened it, as it looked somewhat like it had been transported from customs in New Jersey by kicking it the entire way. But sure enough, Robert's mad internal packing skills made sure the important bits got here just fine!
Now I need to get the long 10-32 screws and the storm window clips...but that might now be less easy than getting the synth here, since the whole state of Illinois is on lockdown now. No unessential movement, otherwise you'll get a misdemeanor writeup and fine.

Tell them you just popped out to get canned food and another shotgun, they will be fine.
