Personally I find Bandcamp a fantastic music platform with a great selection of indie music. It’s also great to know that when I buy an album that the artist gets most of my money directly. If you are thinking of how to distribute your music then I can only recommend you look at Bandcamp. This guide can help you with understanding its intricacies. riemannkollektion.com/blogs/techno-producer-knowledge-hub/bandcamp-guide

Thanks for this.
I was just thinking about how to get started with this and was preparing to ask annoying questions of my friends.

Nice!
I also love Bandcamp. Maybe one of the last (or even the last?) Platform where you can listen to a lot of full albums ,in high audio quality without any interruption like advertisements, for FREE ! And now I like it even more! Didn‘t know that they pay artists better than other platforms.
I‘ll check this guide.

I've got plenty of stuff there, really enjoy the ease of managing my releases first-hand. And as for placement firms, my suggestion is RouteNote. Very professional, they 100% get music that's NOT mainstream and do a great job with getting my work on other stores, YT, etc.
