Now I am starting to colonize my second 20-unit rack box, I worry it might fall flat from the weight of the modules I plan to eventually fill it with. Well, this is almost guaranteed because I already wear it with a guitar strap.
I noticed the extra, undocumented M3 screw holes in the ends of the case units and decided to add some stay-wires to keep things at the right angle.
I found a picture mounting kit at my local hardware store. I cut the wire to fit neatly with a comfortable angle for the second case attached via the hinge kit. I used red heatshrink to cover the rough ends and reinforce the join.

mounted on the case via M3 screws, the same as the ones we use to mount modules to their panel board.

That's a brilliant solution, simple and functional.

I was originally thinking to use metallic fishing line, the kind you would use fishing for barracuda or other similarly bitey fish. I think they can come in black and red etc. but I didn't have a fishing supply store nearby.
I may heatshrink the whole wire later for looks and insulation. They could make handy Theremin antennae too!

I was about to comment on how nice it looked with the shrink tube, but then you said this. That would be awesome!

I may not get around to covering the whole wire until I finish the other case-hacks I have planned.
