.... And didn't see or check that non eof the modules, case or master module come with the necessary bus cables...
D'oh
Mind you.. Lurking in my euro rack bits box was a spare cable with three headers on it!
Ebay order placed hopefully will turn up soon (or at least before I can order any more modules!)

Welcome! That’s a shame that you missed to order the ribbons. Hope they arrive soon! Maybe robertlanger can make it more clear on the cases’ shop pages that ribbons are a separate purchase

Yeah, Juno ought to have known better...
Maybe cooking up a manual for the AE system that's dealer-specific would be useful...?

(I bought from juno in the UK, not the fault of this site at all!) A late reply, mainly as I missed this thread. When I checked their site (I am always looking to hoover up cheap B-Stock modules), whilst they sell the case, the power supply, patch leads and the Master modules, as well as a decent selection of modules, they don't sell the ribbon cable. So building a system that way is never going to work. I agree that a Dealers' guide might be a good idea. If someone is buying from Robert, he would doubtless spot the error, but a dealer probably wouldn't. Sadly, most just sell boxes. Juno are quite good, I do buy from them, but visiting their shop is an exercise in problem-solving. Just getting let in is fun. I've tail-gated several times through the outer door (with some odd looks), but the inner door is much more fun It's not in the best part of London, and I'm a born and bred native - and not very shy and retiring.
