Hello All
I again will be attending this years Synthfest at Sheffield, UK on the 6th of October (10:30am – 6:30pm).
This will be my 3rd year as part of the Modular meet. Last year, I took my Erica Fusion Drone Eurorack as well as the AE modular.
This year I will only be taking the AE modular. I’ll be showing off the new multifx, spring reverb, a bunch of other modules on top of the basic 2 rack system.
If you are based in the UK and can make it to the show pop by to see me. I still have a few AE Modular stickers left over from last year to give away.
P.S. sorry Robert this may mean more orders!

This is fantastic news! I hope you can post some photos and/or videos here for those of us who are just that little bit too far away to attend

Hi, the facebook link above doesn't work for me, but this seems to be working: www.facebook.com/synthfestuk/This looks like a super convention! thehandoflenin do you have a stall there? Where can people find you? It would be awesome if you could take a few videos and show off your AE Modular at the show!

I’m stall L-13 in the modular meet section in the main hall. I’ll be showing off the new multi-fx unit (just installed today) My rack also includes the SEQ 16, spring reverb as well as the standard large rack Kickstarter version and a few other extra modules.
Full system I’m taking AE Modular, Akai MPC Live (drums), Retro Mechanical Labs Distortion Box, Ditto X4, ERM Multiclock.
Robert has kindly sent some stickers - I have black and white ones to give away plus some new flyers.
Pop by if you are around.

Show report:
I had a very good show with lots of interest shown in the AE Modular. Certainly people were very interested because of the price entry point. Also had a few module developers who are interested in producing their modules in the AE modular format. I’ve left it up to them to contact Robert directly if they are genuinely interested.

Cool. Also AE is mentioned and gets a picture in the new book Patch & Tweak.
Getting third parties doing modules would be interesting. Technobears tuning module is the kind of specialized sort of idea I like to see; I mean stuff like a pingable halfrectifier with a tweaked wavefolder with a mixer that uses a sync to mix and then sync with the new folded waveform.... eh just crazy stuff that is not just straight up something what we expect.
What more can you tell us about the reactions on the AE? Did people have reservations towards it and in that case why?
Cheers!

There was a lot of interest: 1: from people who had not dipped their toes into modular but were thinking about it. €400 odd euros was seen smaller investment risk than buying a Eurorack System what... could be 1000 plus euros. Also seen as better option than a semi modular as you can swap in and out modules. There was some interest in the construction but most people understood its size.
2: people who already had Eurorack or MU systems but have not got a lot of room left in their studio.
Paula Maddox Of Dove Audio was interested in making her WTF module available for the AE.
Would be interesting module to add.
