From the TW blog:
"The MASTER module will receive another update, the main feature will be a method to change the MIDI channel to either Omni, 1, 14, 15 or 16 (this is so it can be used alongside the Korg Volca Sample which is hardcoded to MIDI channels 1-10)."
As a by-product, this is going to add a big advantage if your adding a 2nd/3rd rack. Put another Master module in it and then you can split midi tracks in your DAW to send notes specifically to modules in each rack. I know we all want to give up on our DAWs but Robert keeps putting these little temptations in front of us (requires 2 midi output cables or a Y splitter cable from your DAW). Guess that would work for a Beatstep Pro too in theory.
Edit. This is the one I'm using.

Please note, that an Y splitter cable does not work in the case of MIDI signals; you need a MIDI Thru box with one input and e.g. 4 or more outputs. I made a simple one for myself some time ago but could make it available as product if there is demand for it. Another question for me is about the pitchbend range; will post this here separately.

robertlanger - are you going to switch the master module 3.5mm cable to the now approved TRS A standard? It would seem to be a wise move for the future where as that’s where new controllers are headed

The LPZW Schleußig Eurorack module automatically senses what kind of 3.5mm TRS configuration is inserted and adapts accordingly. Of course they haven’t put out how the do it as far as my research has led me. However with the whole thing being digital there must be a way to measure both tip and ring and see which one is the data line. Using a switching socket this check could maybe be triggered upon the insertion of a jack.

How about a power switch on the master module? Would be convenient.
