Hi everyone, just made an order for my first bit of hardware kit, a full on modular, thanks to Robert for making that possible. The tunes and patches made with it sound great and with this new platform, the DIY possibilities... there's plenty to think about. Am looking forward to getting stuck in.

Haha, ok, got to laugh, my monica from a software environment doesn't really carry over to an electrical environment, has a completely different meaning... perhaps I better change it and think about a different technique too...

Welcome to this whole thing we are in!
I'm also eagerly waiting for my AE to wing its way to me. Deferred gratification, in this day and age, is perhaps something to savor.
r.

Thanks rodney, magic smoke sounds like a "right of passage" you go thru at some point. I'd better read the instructions on this bit of kit first! Good times ahead, am just thinking thru the DIY possibilities on this. Will have a few questions to ask soon in the DIY dept soon.

Well thankfully accidental circuits without magic smoke are possible with AEM... So long as you aren't tinkering with the circuit boards themselves Welcome to the community

The Magic smoke is fairly well sealed inside the modules, as long as you don't feed more than 0-5v into it. The Master module lets you input eurorack signals (that can be -10v to +10v) and converts them to 0-5v. It's going to be a lot of fun!
