Hey all,
As stated in the title, my package arrived today and I am super excited. That being said, I have two issues, with the topography and the drumkit 010, in that I can't seem to sync the topography using a vco or anything (haven't hooked up midi) and the drumkit 010 is super quiet when running it through the mixer module. Any and all help would be appreciated!

Hi and welcome to the club! What do you mean by syncing the Topograph “to a VCO”? Normally you’d sync it to a clock source, for example a slower square wave LFO. Have you tried that?

The Topograf has two method for clocking ... the inbuilt clock is active when you turn the Rate knob clockwise. If you want to sync it to an external clock, eg. an LFO then you would need to turn the Rate knob all the way to the left.
I also found the Drumkit to be very quiet .. I will send mine through the 2SIGNALAMP module to get a bit more oomph.

That was just an example, I've tried syncing it to an osc and lfo as well. The triq 164 didn't do anything either (it's also doing this weird thing where channel two triggers every step rather than the sequence I've made). But I'm sure I did something wrong with the lfo if that's what works. I thought the osc would be the master clock. It's syncing my sq16 no worries... Man, I literally have no idea what I'm doing, just making random patches, twisting the dials, and then seeing what happens!

I watched them when I bought the system 3+mths ago! Will rewatch. This is all above my head, I did basic music theory at uni, but that was an elective for my science love. I was hoping it'd be a little like chemistry where x+y=z...

Can you post a picture with a patch that is not working?

I will say that i had some initial problems with installation of the Topograf suddenly making the MultiFX not operable, the fx selection could not be used!! but after a few goes of taking the 10pin ribbon sockets off and putting the topograf BEFORE the multiFX I got it to all work fine.. so it's always worth going back to the installation stage and swapping things around..

I will send mine through the 2SIGNALAMP module to get a bit more oomph. I'm having the same issue with the Drumkit. If routed to my mixer I have the knob with the input receiving the Drumkit turned all the way to the right (i.e. clockwise) and the rest of the mixer knobs at 30-40% of their full capacity and still the Drumkit is very quiet compared to these. I've watched all the great your Drumkit and Topograf videos (thanks!) and can confirm that I'm patching correctly. I can try to post a video in the next day or so but in the meantime any suggestions other than 2SIGNALAMP for getting the Drumkit to sound louder? I don't have that module but do have 2ATT/CV or 2VCA if that might help at all.

Indeed, the output level of the DRUMKIT module is lower than intended; the reason is a last-minute change in the output filter that turned out to be necessary and had a level reduction as side effect. So at the moment it is necessary to reduce all other signal levels and keep the drums at 100% (or, as @careck suggested) use the 2SIGNALAMP. Of course, in the next batch this will be fixed! Beside of this, I will try to find a way to modify the current modules batch.

Any and all help would be appreciated! If your Drumkit 010 is too quiet and you've got a spare VCA (you can never have enough!). Try putting the Drumkit 010 output through the input of the VCA, set it to audio, and then connect the 5v from the master module to the CV input to keep it open. Seems to have given mine a boost and you can vary the volume on the VCA CV input pot.
