Here is a patch I made today. This one is more complex than previous efforts and I put the TRIQ164 to good use. I first sent two oscillators through the Logic module which resulted in an interesting timbre. I then decided to connect one of the LFO's to the 2ATT/CV, and then sent it's output to the VCO. This way I managed to get some crazy FM sweeps. SEQ16 was assigned to make a few CV changes to the VCO, and the TRIQ164 was triggering the noise generator via an envelope and filter. The other env was assigned to the VCO's pitch, and this resulted in an a rather aggressive kickdrum sound. I'm still a little curious about the Logic Module. Is it some sort of ring modulator? Let me know.

I think the logic module is meant more for modulation/trigger messing up than audio, but that is part of the fun of Modular! The different outputs do different things according to how they are marked, if you have done any computer studies you will be aware of OR, AND and then XOR, XAND are the opposite. A simple explanation (from memory...) is that 2 inputs, if one or the other is "on" (but not both), then you get an outputs of the same voltage; with an AND gate both inputs have to be on to get an output. What that means in terms of audio I've no idea! It may be ring modulator like.....

The logic module can be considered a ring modulator - kind of - XOR'ing two sqare waves is basically the same as ring modulating.
But the logic module can do so much more :-)

My favourite use is to make pulses still in time but arhythmic, by using an LFO, another sequencer module or several other things, you can disrupt the classic 8 or 16 step repeating sequence by putting the sequencer output (or timing pulse in) through the logic module and modulating with previous....

Here is a patch I made today. Hello @nightowl96, this is a pretty cool patch! Have you considered making a track for our AEther Waves collaboration album? There's still some time before submissions close and we may be able to give extensions to people who let us know they're working on a track, but are a bit late... forum.aemodular.com/thread/391/modular-compilation-album-aether-waves

hi admin thanks for the comment. I was made aware of this but unfortunately I didn't have much spare time. Perhaps a bit too late to submit a piece now.

Yeah, logic modules can definitely be used as audio modifiers...others have noted the ring-mod capabilities of an XOR gate. You can get a bunch of useful results from logic gates, such as waveform rectification, crossmodulation, etc. And inverters can be entertaining as well; try splitting a VCO signal, then sending one of those through the MULTIFX, the other through an inverter, then mix those outputs together. VERY strange!

Hi Lugia, In eurorack I know that an or can get a half-rectifier, but works this also in AE-modular ? because AE-modular does not work with negative values, but maybe I miss some info here.

Inverting would not work but subtracting one voltage from the 5V just needs an opamp.

And even half or full rectifying is possible in that way off course, but I do not know how good that will work out in AE modular.
