Does anyone use this feature? For the first time I've tried to connect midi controler with additional functions (two wheels for pitch and mod and aftertouch) but couldn't get it working. I've set Master module for omni and tried to stick bus ctrl into everything I thought might work (mod,pwm,cv2,sync on osc, gt2 on env and cv on VCA) but no response to wheels action nor aftertouch effect. Am I doing something wrong? Or the equipment (M-Audio Axiom 49) is not compatibile with Master? It's first generation Master module btw.

Hi arti, my AEM is not here yet, so I can't test it, but I've gathered from the DIY info page that CTRL on the master will convert CC20 to CV. So you will need to make sure your external controller will send CC20 on the knob you're using. For the Axiom it seems like you can do this by moving the controller, pressing “Ctrl Assign” and then using the keys corresponding to 2 - 0 - Enter. Good luck!

thank You gero! I've tested it with the mod wheel so far, and it works I suppose it will be the same with the pitch modulation wheel but probably will have to use osc with two cv inputs? Not sure how to implement aftertouch as there seems to be no specific button/knob for it to move for Ctrl Assign button.

Oh, I'm afraid both pitch bend and aftertouch are entirely different beasts. I don't think there's a way to get either working with AEM right now. They don't use CC messages and would need special support in the master module.

Oh I see. It's not good news but nevertheless thank You for clarification on those misterious MDI matters Now I know I got all there is to get from my MIDI keyboard and will try to workaround other limitations (will experiment with attenuated lfo sent into cv2 of vco via manual switch to do the job of the pitch wheel).

I use an old Korg foot pedal I have - it has an LFO built in, and several outputs that can be from that at different voltages, or voltage that changes with the movement of the pedal, I would imagine someone still makes them out there, or a DIY project! Using a foot means sitting down (unless got really good balance) but it frees up both hands for playing with other stuff...
