Ha...this isn't a synth, but it's sitting on top of my Digisound 80 right now. And it's intended as something of a "control bridge" between the AE and...well, anything that outputs changing voltages up to +/- 10V max.
This Serge-ish looking thing is actually a piece of biomedical hardware. It can handle up to four incoming signals, and then with a couple of window comparators and some other voodoo on each channel (all the knobs are threshold adjustment pots), it'll output up to 6 +5v gates _per channel._ It has a few other tricks that it's capable of as well, such as multiplexing its inputs, passthru-per-channel (or the entire MUX) for the input signal(s), etc. Not exactly an "other patchwire synth", no...but it does do patchwires on those gate outs.
I've used test gear alongside my other "proper" music gear for decades now, but this is one of those pieces (like my tunable indicating amplifiers) where things get a little blurry. Can't wait to strap this into the "sandbox" I'm putting together at present for the AE, Digi, and "friends".
