My module worked on and off for a while, but then completely gave up. I had the dreaded SD init problem, it's all sorted now, thank you robertlanger! If you do have a problem, do try another microsd card as a first check.
The samples included with the module are great for droning etc. but not so useful if you love percussion. Thankfully maydonpoliris had already loaded up his Samplyr and send me his stuff - deeply, deeply appreciated as the tech side of things drives me nuts sometimes... the forum thread about this very subject made my eyes glaze over....
On to the point of this post; the Samplyr module takes me right back into why I wanted to mess with a modular synth in the first place, (and why I bought an AE), and had been really exciting. Whether it means I compose a piece of music with it is a moot point, but it's been great fun exploring, and there's loads more to do! Some samplers do some of this stuff, but to be able to shove an lfo, env, joystick or whatever else to muck up the pitch, start position, etc. etc. and fiddle live, hands on is a joy. I suspect I'll end up sampling some of the chaos rather than using "live" but the possibilities are endless, and mad, and then you can introduce filters, delay, phasing, wave folding and other things I can't think of off the top of my head And then you can combine with other "sound streams" within the AE - particularly looking forward to trying with the Wavetables, FMOS, Grunge Filter and Topograph . Almost wish I hadn't done my AW6 submission already .
Highly recommended module, just in case you haven't picked that up yet....

Interesting to hear, thanks. I never did manage to get one - at one point robertlanger was sending me one but nothing ever came... Guess it fell into the ether.

When did this happen? Best you send me a reminder via PM/email so we can sort this out and get you one! It's one of those where I suspect it fell of your radar - you mentioned you'd send me one out once it was solid as an apology for all that TBD bugspotting. Its not like I've been actively waiting for it or indeed paid!
