Hiya I have both of the above and I have the basic ae modular system. I don't have a clue how, or even if, I can use the CV and Gate out functions that both the Deluge groovebox and the sequencer have built in. I assume both of the above instruments are designed to function with normal eurorack voltages. So can you any of you guys tell me what I need so that the above can talk safely to my ae system which hasn't been touched since the covid outbreak, To be honest I will have to go back to square one with learning the AE modular stuff as I didn't get very far 1st time around but it seems silly to have instruments with the capability and not to at least explore the possibilities. Thanks in advance. P.S. If I have posted this in the wrong place, could you please move it to the correct section.

The new MIDI modules are most likely what you need, but I'd rather others with experience chime in.

The MASTER I/O has two ports, CTRL1 and CTRL2, designed to convert Eurorack CV to AE. But there are only two of them. You will also find a 4I/O useful, as it provides four additional jacks to do the same thing.

Hi, there is no problem connecting either device via the In/outs 1 & 2 on the master or power modules, or the 4 I/O module. This page on the wiki should help, the bit about the voltage range mostly...
Let us know how you get on and we can update this page.
I believe the Deluge has configurable CV outs - so you can set it to 0-5V, which is even better! You will still need to go through one of the above in/outs as they provide the earth/ground for the circuit as well, i.e. a single wire going from an external CV out will not work, and probably, at minimum, cause noise in your AE synth.

There's a tiny little switch at the top of your Deluge thay you can only really access with a paperclip. By default it should be set to +5v. Other than that, you're good to go! Plug into the CV in on the master and you're off to the races. I'd also reccomend the 4i/o to take advantage of all the gates too. Pair it up with MIDI (and the new devices that let you take up to 16 midi channels, and you can control everything! It's pretty great! Give it a try
