Thanks for looking at this. I have an extensive system, as pictured below. One more 16U case is also used, on which my Teenage Engineering OPZ sits, with an AE MultiFX installed on the right-hand side. That case effectively has room for up to 4 more modules. I thought it an interesting exercise to ask the members what they might add to that case, as there's so many available now thanks to the creativity of the AE team. For example are there basics I have overlooked that could make my life simpler, or is there anything available that could work with the OPZ or FX down in that area? I did consider Samplr but the OPZ covers those duties. Another TBD is always welcome, but again, if you have time feel free to give me an idea or two.

There are a lot of oscillators and VCAs, but less filters in relation. Additional Wasp-, Diode- or Grunge filter could be useful.
There are only less tools in the system. Additional CV tools and locical module could provide new possibilities.

What kind of patches do you make? This is my question as well! If you're into more generative stuff, i'd say you could use modules like RBSS, topograph, Sloth. More into techno-ish stuff? I'd go with extra filters like WASP. And maybe Euclid Grid for more drums sequencing. Drones or ambient soundscapes? Maybe Solina, Le Module,.. And so on..

What kind of patches do you make? This. You can only make a serious recommendation depending on the kind of patches you make and what you functionalities you find lacking right now in your system… Need more sound sources? Look into oscilators and other sound sources. Need more modulation? Lfos and other sloths Do you lack gates of some kind? RBSS topograph or others Envelopes? Get some envelopes … All of the above? look into programmable modules like Grains or AEuropi

You are quite right. I should have given you more insight.
Techno all the way for me.

I'd say the Le Module is great for techno chord stabs - check RSKT's video on it, particularly demo patch 3:
Euclid Grid would be good for interesting gate patterns (also used in that video)

switchmatrix - feed 4 outs of the heartbeat into it then out to 4 gates or sequencers and you can mix up your techno beats in a........heartbeat
lopaq - put any ocs through it
I double down on the Quad boost to bring out the kick
uProb is pretty good for random techno beats
wasp is a must for me

A diode filter would add, and give you suitable bass, and if you want to branch out into Aiceed....
The modulators module packs a lot in 1 U space to help control all those oscs and filters.
I 2nd the Wonkystuff snare someone else mentioned.
For the last space, I would suggest the Joystick module - lots CV options, has some gate ones as well, and great fun to waggle along with the music!

Well, Switch Matrix ordered. Also the UBase.
Wasp or Diode Filter is going to be a decision to make.

I'm not sure where you're located, but if you're in the USA, I can say that @soli on Discord has a bunch of used Switch Matrixes you might consider. [Dunno if he's also solipsnation here on the forum]

Thanks for that info, but already ordered from Robert and happy to ensure there's one more Switch Matrix in the world.
