Hey all!! Thank you to all who bought a 555VCO! The stock from this v2 sold out quicker than we expected. Because of that, we made a bonus restock!! Initially we planned to do a restock on Superbooth, together with some other suprises. But we restocked with 8 more 555's over on Tindie right now. Keep your eyes peeled on the Superbooth weekend of 15-19 May though, because there will be more new stuff then Cheers! I think a dual 555 setup will be very fun...

I think a dual 555 setup will be very fun... Yeehaaaa, thanks for the support! 😄 Two 555's are great fun, you can do loads of Crossmodulation/feedback, 2-operator FM style things. Same with using one square wave to hard sync the other 555, then send them both different sequences etc. I'm sure you'll enjoy it 😊

Are you going to demo the 555 at SuperBooth? I'd like to give the hardsync a try, because I have been experimenting with the SYNC input of the VCO and 2OSC/d modules and they have not been behaving the way I expected. Otherwise, I'd be a bit hesitant because of the rack real estate, to be honest.

Otherwise, I'd be a bit hesitant because of the rack real estate, to be honest. The 555 is far better than the original AE VCO. The 555 is totally worth it.

For me the 555 doesn't take up any more space than the AE VCO. I ran the AE VCO with SIGNALAMP because the triangle wave was so weak.

I'll give it a try, for sure. For "sine wave", I'd been using the MS 20 filter, but I can see how my life would be easier with a "proper" OSC.
As for amplification of the triangle wave: The fact that it's lower volume than the square wave is just inherent, and not a property of the VCO module, right? I mean, one would have to scale down the square to make it equally loud to the triangle, or else add clipping to the triangle?
