I see the ARP is quantized. Does it only play a major triad? Is there a 1v/oct input? Can I run CV through a external quantizer then to the ARP to make it play any arpeggio I want?

I see the ARP is quantized. Does it only play a major triad? Is there a 1v/oct input? Can I run CV through an external quantizer then to the ARP to make it play any arpeggio I want? The ‘note’ cv input is not a fixed ratio of volt/octave because the amount of influence can be changed with the ‘amount’ knob. The notes are selected from a chord which is selected by using the ‘chord’ input — with no signal connected it plays the I chord, with +5 connected it plays the V chord, and with 0 connected it plays the IV chord. The root note and fine tuning can be selected in the ‘boot mode’ which is why the ARP has a button! the AE version behaves as the original (it runs the published Bastl firmware binary — I’ve not recompiled it), so the official Bastl manual should describe the behaviour quite well 🙂 bastl-instruments.com/content/files/manual-kastle-arp.pdfwhen the source code is published, it might be interesting to make a chromatic version perhaps, to allow any notes to be selected, but maybe that’s not needed when we have a quantiser and regular oscillators…?
