Hey everyone,
I've just received my 2 Rack system and have been tinkering around with it.
I was wondering if anyone had some tips on how to make melodies using the 10 step sequencer. As of now, I've been only sending the sequencer to the OSC CV and sending the OSC through the filter but are there better ways to utilize the sequencer. I'm very used to sequencer like that of the minilogue where you just input note data and change the parameters on it.

The STEP10 is a trigger/gate sequencer and not a CV or melody sequencer. So it's made to be used for triggering envelopes, drums, etc.
However you could patch some of its gate outputs into a mixer and patch the mix out into a VCO. Then, using the mixers knobs, you can create a Melody from the gates.

Any tips on how to make slow melodic changes over time (until I get the 16STEP ) I'll try using the gates that is a good idea.

Any tips on how to make slow melodic changes over time (until I get the 16STEP ) a few ways: midi (using midi din cable) - you could send this from an external midi sequencer, or your computer cv (into the master io) - if you have another synth with a sequencer than can send cv/gate you could get AE modular to generate, basics might be randomly : Noise (analog out) -> (2ATT) -> S&H -> OSC CV deterministic : LFO (or OSC) -> (2ATT) -> S&H -> OSC CV you can then start fettling this: 2ATT to attenuate the input into S&H, LFO or gate sequencer, or combos with logic into the trigger of S&H (when done with an LFO this kind of 'selects' the notes) OSC into S&H, create more complex waveshapes, alter the rate to get different results. this will of course be not in a western (or any other ) scale, as we'd need a quantizer for that (Id like one of those ) , but I found it quite fun to play with , to get a different feeling for modular , rather playing a synth with a keyboard

I do understand what you mean about the different feeling. I'm used to using my minilogue with my band and solo stuff but last night i was using the modular and it was a whole other experience. Surprisingly very cathartic.
