I was scrolling through the Juno (UK based music store) website when I noticed an AE modular module for sale sometime soon.
I'm very glad this is happening because it means that UK artists interested in one of these systems don't have to ship from Europe or America and pay crazy shipping costs so well done robertlanger on getting them to stock it I'm sure I'll be buying some modules sooner now!

Yes, I will finally fill their shelves in a week or two! On Superbooth some other retailer contacts were made; things are growing slowly, but steadily ;-)

Saw the Superbooth 19 videos and got hooked. Being able to purchase from the UK will make it easier to grab a few modules every month. Thank you Robert.

Would be interesting to learn about your CMOS stuff; at the beginning of AE modular was the idea to make a lunetta based synth, so I'm interested to see the connection "backwards" ;-)

Hugh Davies passive ring mod circuit will be my first DIY build in this format once I pick up a starter system. I've been really interested in passive circuits recently. I'll be sure to post anything I build on the forum.

Started selling off some Eurorack stuff to fund my system and ordered some 9mm pots and other components for DIY modules. Got access to a laser cutter at work too so I’m hoping to create a vector file for panels. Excited for this.

OK, so I took a quick look at Juno again as I do buy things from them regularly and they are a decent shop. Yes, everything "Tangible Waves" is showing as "Out of Stock", which can mean many things - most likely here it's "We're getting them soon, we just don't have a definite date" as robertlanger has said his filling their shelves soon. I did also see that some of the prices are just £0.00, which is odd. Having said that, the Juno price is £465 (OK, actually £464.99, which is stupid), which equates to just under 528 euro. The Tangible Waves site is currently offering it for 435 euro (or £383). Just saying... admittedly, you might wait a little longer assuming you don't miss one of those that Juno get in. If the price holds, that's a saving of £82/93 euro. That looks a lot like a MULTIFX to me

I think they're expecting to receive 6 of them, and given Robert's timescale I'd imagine it'll be Saturday at the earliest that the stock arrives. It's a shame they don't do pre-orders! Re the pricing you've laid out spacedog: that's without tax... For me, in the UK and including delivery, a Starter Rack 2 direct from the Tangible Waves shop would be €533 - so a little more than Juno's price, assuming it doesn't change.

That looks a lot like a MULTIFX to me I think it’s €517 with vat and another €13 for delivery plus whatever poor rate and extra charges my bank or PayPal decide, will bring it well over £465. I’m cool though. Happy to wait a while longer or look further into transfer rates and charges from my bank (5% or one off charge?), if anyone else knows what the best way to pay directly from the UK is I will definitely consider it.

Morn Valley: Halifax do a credit card (Clarity) that gives you the normal Mastercard exchange rate when buying in different currencies (better than the PayPal rate) and no additional charge if you pay it off quickly. I always use it for buying stuff in euros or dollars online. I'm sure there are other similar cards available too.

Whoops, sorry forgot about the dreaded VAT. I'm so used to it just being included in the price. Price aside, if you do want one from Juno make sure that you register your interest or even just give them a call. I've spoken to them quite a few times to sort things out as I pick things up on the way home from work.

Might wait till next week and if it’s not up on Juno I can buy straight from Robert. Thank you.

I got excited as I thought I might treat myself to a couple of new oscillators. They only have the two-row system in stock, unfortunately - two in stock as of right now. I could have another one by 10.00 tomorrow EDIT: 3 in stock if you look on the product page, as opposed to the Tangible Waves page. Odd.

Yes, I forgot to mention it's just those systems. I wonder if they were shipped separately or if everything came together and Juno just hasn't got around to getting all the other bits on the website.

Hi guys,
as far as I know Robert was only planning to sell the complete racks via retailers mainly for people who want to get into AE. Individual modules are much cheaper to send via post so they'll be available from the website directly.

Individual modules are much cheaper to send via post so they'll be available from the website directly. I think the real appeal could be for global sales (e.g. US/Asia) as shipping/taxes/customs all become a bit more 'hassle' (but you know more about that than me ) but yeah, can't see retailers wanting to stock individual modules , esp. as the range increases. Perhaps robertlanger could do some upgrade packs? the packs are simply a collection of modules designed to upgrade the base systems in a particular direction, and as its multiple modules, cost is a bit higher, less variations - so more interesting to retailers? some random pack ideas: v1 upgrade : 2OSC/d + 2ENV + 2VCA analog voice pack: VCO + 2VCA + ENV + SVF sequencer pack: TRIG164 + SEQ16 + VCSWITCH noise pack : NOISE+ S&H + VCSWITCH+ 2VCA west coast pack: LPG + WAVEFOLDER + 2OSC/d

The mark-up on those low-cost individual modules would make it tough for Juno to compete. Bizarrely, if you search out of stock items they have everything listed, some at zero cost, which is likely a sign that they're never coming into stock.

Just for curiosity: Is it an advantage for poeple in uk to order there? I just know the other way around and shipping costs are not that much more maybe 10€ instead of 5€. Or is it because that's a well known music shop?
