Bus Clock

Hey guys. Looking for some understanding in lieu of the coming manual.
I have midi from a keystep going into the master unit. Keystep running with internal clock. However, when I connect the bus clock to other modules, I don’t see any pulse or trigger being sent via the bus clock.
What am I doing wrong?

Make sure Keystep sends out MIDI clock; I'm not familiar with it...
Does the midi clock LED on MASTER lights up when an external MIDI signal is received?

Thanks for the video link. Nothing in it about clock but I really appreciate learning about his channel which I’ve somehow missed.
I think I can just take a cable from the clock sync cv and patch it through the master in/out but I was hoping the bus could carry the clock pulse from the midi input.
Anyone know what the Bus Ctrl jack is for?

Anyone know what the Bus Ctrl jack is for? The MIDI clock should go directly from the Keystep through to the BUS CLK on the AE bus. You can pick it up for instance from the BEATDIVIDER where you would step it down to 1/32, 1/16, 1/8 ... because MIDI clock is about 1/96 or so. Also you only get the MIDI clock from the Keystep when you hit the start button! So I find it hard to get MIDI clock and play free notes at the same time with the Keystep. |

Anyone know what the Bus Ctrl jack is for? Not sure if I'm correct but as far as I know it sends additional information (different than control voltages, gates and clock) via midi. It would be aftertouch for example if it's available in Your midi controler. |
