That careful, hesitant start to Some Mo' Dorian, those melodies that start to unfold out of this low rumbly scrapes is downright amazing. Musical origami like the finest Autechre and then it evolves into signature funbun minimalism with clean melody lines that weave and dance around each other like butterflies. This is sublime. For those wondering what is musically possible with pure modular sequencing on the AE platform, don't look any further. Damon has set the benchmark and you will need to bring your best patching skills to even come close to this. |
