hi all,
can anyone explain me, when using the master module, how can I patch up the ae modular system to process sound from my daw, so out of my sound card into the ae system, then back out to the sound card.
it's a bit confusing with the small wire patch points for audio i/o 1 en 2 and the minijack i/o points, being both in and out, then how am i supposed to know how to patch this?
thankssszzz

DAW output to 1/8" Audio 1 IO jack; that gets it into the system, and the audio signal will show up on the A1/Audio 1 patch point at the top of the outputs. Then run audio back into the A2/Audio 2 patch point at the second spot down on the master module, and the audio will show up on the Audio 2 IO jack, which you can then patch back into your DAW. If you want stereo, you can get a 4IO module and use that. The jacks on both 4IO and MASTER are set up as both inputs and outputs and will in general do the right thing. Here's the doc for it: wiki.aemodular.com/pmwiki.php/AeManual/MASTERwiki.aemodular.com/pmwiki.php/AeManual/4IOBasically, patch it up in a way that looks right and it should be fine.

That diagram implies that audio 1 is used for both in and out on the modules, doesn't it? Which isn't right...

Hmm, the red arrow coming out of 'AE modules' should be pointing to the highlighted socket, right? It's currently pointing to CTRL 1 which is better used for CV than audio.

That diagram implies that audio 1 is used for both in and out on the modules, doesn't it? Which isn't right... the I/O 3.5mm sockets on the Master and 4I/O module can be used for either incoming or outgoing signals. It just depends how you'll patch it afterwards.
