first prototype seems to mostly work fine (except for my classic mistake of having the knobs go backwards)
it's chaotic, and very lo-fi, but it's fun
so pending a few tweaks, this'll likely be available in some form in the new year

Please, for the love of your preferred deity, stop. I'm already running out of rack real estate (again).

absolutely terrific, but you’ll have to make it a MuModule for p3tr (& my) sakes ! but seriously i was eyeing one of those up , but now can look forward to a more ‘integrated’ version .. p.s. where do the samples go IN? ( i’ll have to reread the github i guess ) p.p.s. are you still Ampersands?

still me - just keeping things aligned across forum + discord our old friend the raspberry pi pico is stuck on the back which holds the samples. Infinitedigits made a pretty whizzy web tool which automatically converts .WAVs to the correct sample rate and detects the BPM and beat points, and spits out a custom .uf2 file infinitedigits.co/wares/pikocore/

I really hope that those web based tools get ported to an offline version as well, I really dislike platforms that require a webbased tools to upload/configure. What happens the day the website goes down?

Fair point, i have a few devices with web configs and i think about that too. You can usually ‘save page as’ and it’ll save an offline version which works in my experience, but that might depend how it’s been implemented

Not decided yet but probably bring your own pico would make sense as people can choose their flavour. I’m just using the standard 2mb green board here, but others may want more space

Can it be clocked externally?

This thing looks fun - interested! Can it be clocked externally? It looks like it, at least I spotted an clk > pin header in the video som I guess/hope that that is the clock in and the clk < is consequentially the clock out?

clk > is clock out and clk < is clock in, i might make the labelling less obtuse (i get confused too!) haven't played around with the sync in and out much yet but will give it a thorough testing soon. The original device is designed to sync to a Pocket Operator so i figure it should work pretty well with AE triggers as well
