I'm looking for a supercheap MIDI to CV converter solution with at least 3 CVs and 3 gates. I'm looking for something which could do chords (meaning it can do voice allocation on a single channel) or separate MIDI channels. It probably can't be DIY as I don't have easy access to a soldering iron right now.
The obvious choice is CV.OCD, which is a great product but presently costs 200 euros to ship to Italy. I really was hoping for something cheaper, used would be fine.
Another option is MidiVolts Desktop, which costs about the same but I've heard has an unfortunate voice-stealing rule (I don't know what it is though)
MIDISizer's Midi2CV would be wonderful, and does 0-5V CV, -- in fact it'd be great to see it as an AE Module -- but it's set up to be powered by +/-12 to 15V.
The Keystep Pro has 4 outs, each with Gate/CV/Mod (!!), and *8* drum gates, plus clock. But it's 500 Euros. :-(
I will soon be in the situation of having two MASTER I/O modules, which with some hacking would give me two inputs via MIDI if I did two different busses, but that seems silly.
I don't think there are at present any WonkyStuff configurations that could do this...
Anyone have any ideas?

have you thought about an Empress Zoia Euroburo ? now.. i know it’s pricey especially with the stand alone case ,, and it’ll only give you 4 cv ins & 4 outs BUT it brings A HELL OF A LOT of other super interesting stuff to play with alongside an AE system ,, plus the 8 cv ports are all configurable to 0-5v for perfect ae integration... ( it does -5/+5 & 0-10v if you need it later ) bit of an investment, sure .. but the sequencers, sampler (v3 onwards ) , reverbs , granular stuff etc is more than worth the money ,,, well at least it feels that way for me got mine 2nd hand for £500 including the case.

I would dearly love a Zoia. But it is out of my price range. Also, yeah, only 4 CV/Gate outs.

Your budget and not being able to DIY build I think makes this pretty impossible. I would certainly recomend the Beatstep Pro route as it's so versatile, the Keystep Pro even more so for another 100 Euros..... All I can suggest to to can a look out for one of these machines 2nd hand, online or local charity/thrift shops.
