First, the web page for setting clock divisions was quite easy to use (as I said on Discord...). Having the divisions on the page so you don't have to do arithmetic in your head is very handy for the extremely lazy. 8)
Second, the mco/1 sounds pretty great! It's easy to use, too. I have noticed a couple of things with it-- first is that it can pretty easily get its gate stuck in an ON state. This seems to happen when it gets a lot of notes in a stream (for example, when moving notes on the grid in Logic, since it sends notes as you move them). I had to pull and reinsert the module a couple of times to get it to stop. I'm not sure how one would deal with this. I didn't try a panic button/all-notes-off signal since, um, I couldn't find it, heh. (Okay, I just read how to do that in Logic and I'll try it next time.)
The random patch thing might be a little more useful if it didn't randomize the noise layer as well. A second patch that randomizes everything BUT noise might be cool.
Otherwise, I had a really nice time playing around with it yesterday. It's nice to have a fairly predictable oscillator to play with. It sounds good and seems overall to be pretty well-thought out. I sent it a lot of CCs to get it modulating and stuff and it was neat. 8) I'm think I'm only really scratching the surface-- I haven't updated its preset or anything, just sent it CCs and listened to what they do. Pretty neat, anyway. 8)

Parameter-locking ccs on a digitakt (and using digitakt MIDI LFOs) with this is going to be so. much. fun.

Thanks for the update! I did actually put in a ‘panic’ mode (if you unplug the MIDI input cable, the output gate should stop as it detects the missing input). I’ll investigate the hanging notes (I occasionally also encountered, but only when I was moving items around in logic whilst playing). It’s always possible to induce hanging notes of course, play something then unplug the trs before releasing the key

… if I can squeeze in a ‘randomise all but the noise’ I’ll do it — only 15 bytes code space left though!!

15 bytes left-- that's impressive!
I'll try the unplugging next time too.

Yeah, the ability to control the levels of the different waves with CCs, as well as pitchbend, means you don’t need many modules to get more complex sounds (as long as you have an easy way of sending CCs, that is. But hey, it’s 2023, that should be straightforward). Here I’m using the mco/1 and my digitakt to synthesize a snare sound, using not too many additional modules!

Quick question. It's possible with the MCC/4 convert 2 cv and 2 gate outputs? It's configurable?

Quick question. It's possible with the MCC/4 convert 2 cv and 2 gate outputs? It's configurable? Not right now - it was a consideration, but I decided to output only one note's information (Pitch CV, Velocity CV, Gate and Trigger). I had a discussion with someone at Synthfest about perhaps extracting Aftertouch instead of Velocity, since it is a more 'dynamic' CV (Velocity is of course fixed at the note-on). By keeping the MIDI-CV functionality as a single-note, the 'learn' functionality is easy to understand and is consistent with the controller assignment. There may be a dedicated MIDI-CV module in the future, although I expect that the functionality in the mcc/4 will cover 90% of user's use cases - I would be interested to know if this is actually the case!

Would the LOPAG give a combined VCA/Envelope? Just thinking of reducing your module count

The Modulators module has a VCA, envelope, and some other stuff in a single space. Really nice for superdense racks without moving into umodules.

I received my order today (4xMCC/4 & 2xMCO/1 the last ones)..it's too much happiness! It's turn my rack on total midi integration and polyphony..all in one day!! Thank you very much namke, you are a genius!! When you restock MCO/1 or the newer version? I'm waiting like a little child with new toy!
