Perhaps I don't fully understand all the different modules but it seems like the note voltages are not output by any of the modules am I right?

You are right, I did not add this use case to the diagrams!! The mcc/4 has a ‘MIDI to CV’ mode where it outputs note-CV, velocity-CV, Gate and Trigger — so this would be a way of driving the existing AE oscillators. Is that what you mean? wonkystuff.net/product/mcc-4/I will add another diagram this evening showing this use-case |

Low-quality demo of mb/1 & mco/1 (two patch cables) is now on youtube. It's been a long week, and I should probably have worked harder on the presentation, but it's better than nowt I hope!
Yellow cable is carrying MIDI data here (receiving on Channel 5), blue cables go the the audio output and to the METER. OP-Z sends CCs 1-4 when the white LEDS are showing, and 5-8 when the green are on…
