I have seen people in various videos coupling those tiny patch leads together to make super-long cables. How is that done? Are there special couplers? Some sort of tape? Please excuse the newb question, thx!

I use female-female jumper wires in between two regular AE Modular (male-male) wires. Something like this: www.adafruit.com/product/266They’re super cheap on eBay. |

I would like to have some longer cables too but I would make them myself. But I haven't seen this round connectors or plugs anywhere.
Does someone know where I could get these?

Maybe just solder two cables together, with a bit of PVC tape round the join as well?

Thank you... But for me both links show only a not available site. I could buy the cables from the shop and I will anyways but someday 50cm could be too short too and also I would like to have other colors. |

I bought some of the long ones, thinking that I would need them across three rows. I haven't even opened them yet. The better purchase was the extra 40cm ones. I know it's obvious, but the 50cm are really long. |

I have the 2x20 case and want a second in the future. The 40cm are already at the limit sometimes now. Btw... I am probably the last one that has seen it, but on the tw Facebook page are new cables with gold plating. And a small modular assembly video. |

Holy guacamole! Those are expensive Yep. Just don't look at the prices they've got on genuine Pomona banana cables. I guess the logic there is that if you have the spendiest modular possible (which, natch, says "Buchla" on it) you can afford hyperpremium patch cables...?
