Short story: if anyone has made the switch to the wood or bamboo cases what were your impressions compared to the acrylic?
Longer snooze version: I need to buy a case to sell off a collection of modules I'm not using - might take the plunge and pay the extra fee to upgrade the lot, if indeed it feels like an upgrade. My rack is housed in a larger travel/peli style case anyway, so it's not like I often see the case, though I do prefer the look of the wood with black panels and wonder if it feels more robust.

Yes I have a 4x20 with the wooden sides. It doesn't feel like a "premium" case because it's veneer and the rest is still made of particle board but it does look pretty nice. I wouldn't buy one to replace the acrylic if you have it already, but if you need a new case, why not.

Thanks for the info - it would cost me more, around double though that isn't a huge ammount, to 'upgrade', so if it doesn't feel like an upgrade I'd probably stick with what I have.
