 Kaestle drum, Solina through a Rat distortion pedal being sort of pulsed in and out, little VCO pings. I'm getting closer to what I'm trying to do but I like how this came out. I've also been trying to do pt3r's Quite Unusual patch challenge but I keep adding in stuff that makes it more obviously me. Oh well. |

I did the mastering thing and it fixed the levels, so it's less quiet now. I need to pay more attention to the levels when I record, I think.

I've started using a program to check my levels/convert my audio files from the studio into various formats. One of the things it does is normalisation - that is very useful for fixing after the fact.... I tend to record first and look at technical stuff later.... |

Yeah-- I tend to mix and record by ear, but you know, the speakers can be turned up without turning up the actual inputs or what reaches the disk, sooooo yeah.
I also have stuff set up now so I can very quickly sit down and start recording, which is good for "i have 30 minutes now and i want to make a thing happen" but not so hot for careful checking of levels.
