ok it’s official.
i’m buying the case from Kyaa as soon as it’s out.
it’s perfect.
and in the midi in from wonky is quite something too, pretty much what i had in mind for my experiment.
and the v7 case.
i feel like at home.

that VCASE7 is very very cute, and matt really shows what you can do with just a few modules! I think when the SAMPLYR arrives, this could be the makings of a tiny little sample / beatmaking centred rack. Could be a lot of fun

Great videos. I can't help but wonder whetner these metal cases will provide better shielding from outside signals? My modular seems to be pick up quite some digital chatter when i keep my phone too close to the case.

Toms and me have continued the work on the case quite enthusiastically since superbooth (Toms much more than me, ofc), and we both really push forward this brilliant product to get it available for you - I can honestly say, I was blown away when I took it in my hands at superbooth for the first time!

Yeah, these are all pretty neat! The midi stuff could be really fun to set up-- we're already building our own custom instruments, pretty much, and this would add in whole new levels of integration with external gear. It'll be fun to see what people do with it, and I have some ideas myself already.

The phone signal is a bugger for line level cables (even expensive ones if close enough), microphone cables and good fun near loudspeakers etc! |

Is fixed now for a while... actually I didn’t think it was an error once i had worked out what I thought was Robert’s logic  .. ie: that most AE modules are mono and if you plug stereo headphones into the output on V7case and you have only mono into left side or right side then you switch to ‘STEREO’ which allows you to hear the mono signal in both channels ie: ‘stereo’ BUT if like me , you are using Cirrus or Rains or some other seperate left and right outs then you switch to ‘MONO’ which seperates the two essentially mono channels and so you hear the proper ‘Stereo’ in yr headphones!! eerrrr... at least I think i got that the right way round?? anyway , not a problem or error I think, just a question of how you want to perceive mono/stereo routing.. so for me STEREO = mono normalled to ‘stereo’ and MONO = seperate left & right ‘mono’ channels in your stereo output.. I presumed ( as always! ) that Robert was lightyears ahead of us and I just had to catch up with his thinking  anyway, I love the word STEREO ...and the word MONO ... both such good looking words what I would also love is if Robert takes that ultra slim power/stereo in/out module that exists on the V7case and adds ,say, a 3 or 4 channel mixer the same width on the right side to make a full 1u module that does power, L/R ins/outs AND mixing all in a 1u module. though it may be that the power aspect of it is only designed to cover a restricted 7 ( maybe 12? ) modules rather than large racks? still, would be cool space saver for small racks. |
