Not only a Front 242 song but now also a spanking new patch challenge:
Here's the idea, after a while everyone starts to develop their own signature modular sound. This challenge will try to break that possible stalemate situation by challenging each contributor to create a modular only patch that sounds nothing like anything we heard from them and hopefully help them to approach their compositions in a fresh new way and possibly learn a few new tricks along the way. A cool extra would be if we could submit these pieces anonymously and afterwards we must match the list of contributors to the contributed pieces.
Who is up for this challenge?

So let's see, no drums, no delay, no boops? But but but whatever will I do? How even does modular work if I'm not boopin?
Okay. 8)

This is harder than I thought. I have made several patches on this journey and felt I kept leaning back into sound/patch habits and ripping them out. Maybe just pushing the patch too far/overthinking it. great fun though exploring this challenge

This is the attempt I did a couple of months ago. I did a droney thing as I've never really done one before so thought that would be good for this challenge. I actually tried to confuse people by doing a Deofol scraping sounding track but it's hard! The more I listen to this the more I still think it sounds like me though cheers for watching

First half did not sound like any maydonpoliris I've heard before, proper nicely controlled droning, you could've fooled me that it wasn't you. And around 3 minutes you start to hear this little relentless rhythm starting to try and sneak its way in over this solid layer of almost guitar like wall of noise almost Sunn O)) like. I liked it. It's hard work to patch outside your comfort zone, isn't it?
So far I have not been able to come up with anything convincing.

Thanks pt3r yes it's really hard!. I actually thought it would be way easier (not easy of course but easier) than it was. Then started patching and its.... oh hang on..... Think this is the best challenge we have had and good to keep revisiting outside our boxes really stoked you liked it too
