I use an NTS-1 with my AE, and power by it via the USB module. But I wonder if anyone has had a go at mounting the NTS in an AE case. I'm thinking I've seen Korg showed some examples of alternative faceplates for the NTS-1 that seemed to have pin patch points. korginc.github.io/nts-1-customizations/And I'm seeing more and more impressive custom oscillators come out for it (someone just did a "Rumble of Ancient Times") custom osc the other day. So possibly someone has (or should, hint hint) make a full adaptor kit to turn an NTS into first class citizen of AE modular.

The Korg stuff is quite well-built for hacking; i think a few of their smaller devices, including Volcas, have access points on the pcb ready for soldering to for things like midi, cv and so on. I have the other thing like this - Monotron i think? - and i did open it up to see if it could be adapted into a module to use the filter and delay circuits, but it was a fair bit too large unfortunately.

I may or may not know someone who is working on something. 🤫

Just found this ... Hope this inspires anyone thinking of an AE conversion kit. The NTS-1 is such an all-in-one powerhouse. And such a useful complement to other small or 5v gear.

I've made this case to the nts-1 with a rechargeable battery and some other modifications. All solder points needed are on the PCB and some of them are even labeled. An AE mounting kit should be fairly easy to make with some creativity and proper tools and materials. It should be combined with AE modules that can adapt outboard signals to AE signals, like the 4I/O, MASTER, COMPACTMIXER etc.
