Has anybody experienced problems with the mini jacks in the HP amp ? On mine both minijacks have some kind of problem. First i thought it could be the solderjoints that had come loose, but they are fine. So it is a mechanical problem inside the jacks. I only get one channel, and if i carefully wiggle the jack i sporadically get both channels, but only as long as i wiggle.
And to rub salt in the wound, one of my beloved WASP filters also started acting up.

Don't have the HPAmp but do get that in other places if I'm using a stereo cable instead of a Mono cable. A stereo cable I have to jiggle or pull halfway out but mono works fine.

Interesting observation. But isn't the HP amp suposed to support stereo ?

yes it does, I do have the power module which has the HP Amp included so I pushed a 3.5mm headphone jack into the socket I can hear it changing from mono to stereo as the rings on the jack go into place. A few simple things come to mind, possibly the jack isn't sitting in the socket correctly(something in there?) or the socket itself is worn or the mono/stereo switch is faulty. Does the same thing happen with another headphone jack?

Make also sure your headphone cables are ok. This said, the HP plug on the power module is mono. So there I would not expect a stereo signal.

I guess what I was hearing was moving from Left only to both Left and right headphones as it was being plugged in rather than mono/stereo.

The HP amp module provides stereo out though.

Ok, so i am the error here. I tried with some super cheap headphones, and it works fine. I realized that there was two distinct "clicks" as i inserted the mini stereo jack (rather logical). Apparently the mini jack on my AKG headphones needs quite a lot more force to be fully inserted, so much that you tend to think it's too much. So all along i had simply not inserted the jack correctly. Well those 2 hours won't come back .
