Hi everyone, Here's my latest track: And for those who prefer a video of me "performing" it (I don't do much, but it's more than usual already π): The video version is not the same as the audio one as it was done as the same take (some things were missing in the audio recording of the video take π). I'll make a patch breakdown for those who are interested (at least the interesting bits of it) but the short of it is the lead voice is MS20 pinged at random intervals constrained to the global rhythm by ANDing it with MMDiv, the kick is a typical 2OSC/d with an envelope controlling the pitch and the bass is the other voice of 2OSC/d through the Nyle filter switching randomly between the root and fifth and triggered by MMDiv. The fun bit here is the three voices are sent to my DAW before being send back to the MultiFX so I can control their level and panning with a MIDI controller to have things a bit less static. Hope you like it π

this is lovely! Great use of the system for sure,
Which MIDI controller is that?

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it βΊοΈ. The controller I used is a faderfox uc4. It's a nice piece of gear, very customizable and deep (I still don't know how to use half of its features π).

Ah I've looked at the Faderfox stuff a few times, they do look really cool, I think the one I want is discontinued now sadly, but there's always eBay...

Nothing like pentatonics.

I finally got around to do the breakdown, here it is:
Lead Source MS20 as pinged resonant filter
Inputs Pitches into CV2 from 1. Seq8 (clocked by LFO (3) with rate at ~12 o'clock in fast mode) + slow (12 o'clock in slow mode) triangle LFO (1) (using XMIX B) 2. attenuverted and offset in CVTool (4) 3. Through S&H, triggered from AND gate with the following inputs to keep it aligned to the grid - Divided main LFO (4) clock through MMDiv (divide by 2 in beat mode) - MMDiv shift if modulated by LFO (1) triangle output through 2CVTool (1) (barely past 12 o'clock for both knobs) - Trip (output 1) triggered by another slow-ish LFO (2) (2 o'clock in slow mode) - delay time : 9 o'clock, repeats: 3 o'clock, other 2: 0 in probability mode - Delay modulated by Noise (A output) sampled by AND gate - Gate time from external CV (MIDI controller) - Probability from looping envelope (2Env (5)) in 2CVtool (5) (level at min and offset at 8 o'clock) 1. Quantized Pings from short env (2Env (1) with ~0 attack and decay, in short trigger mode) triggered by AND gate above
Outputs 1. Kuzmin (BP and Dist on, 2 o'clock cutoff, 9 o'clock resonance in Hard mode) - CV1 (attenuator knob at 12 o'clock) controlled by triangle LFO (2) mixed at 90 % with another triangle LFO (1) at 10 % (using XMIX A) 2. Delay (11 o'clock delay time and feedback and 9 o'clock dry/wet) 3. out
Kick Source 2Osc sub-oscillator (PWM at 10 o'clock)
Inputs Pitch from 1. triangle LFO (4) 2. attenuverted and offset in CVTool (3)
Outputs 1. SV filter (11 o'clock cutoff, fully resonant, LP output) 2. Short env (2Env (2), ~0 attack, 9 o'clock decay in fast trigger mode) + VCA - Triggered by main LFO (4) clock divided by O&C (divided by 8 IIRC) 3. Out
Bass Source 2Osc square osc
Inputs Pitch from 1. 3CVSwitch (picked between root and fifth of scale (2CVTool (5))) gated by - Noise (A output) sampled with triggers from - End of cycle of 2Env (3) triggered by MMDiv (divide by 5 in beat mode) 1. Quantized
Outputs - VCA (2Env (3) (see above) in fast trigger mode with ~0 attack and max decay) - LP input of Nyle filter (Knob at 3 o'clock) - CV1 from same env (2env (3)) with CV knob barely above 0 - Out
FX
The three voices are sent to my DAW before being send back to the MultiFX so I can control their level and panning with a MIDI controller to have things a bit less static. MultiFX is providing the reverb (first algorithm) and is used as a send FX (see above) so dry is at 0 and fully wet with par 1 nearly at max.
