Yet to my ears it still sounds as fresh and energetic as when it came out. Excellent live performers as well.

The streets - Original Pirate Material ah yes, my partner was well into mr skinner back then .... 20 years have flown by it seems.. possibly superseded by Sleaford Mods , Bob Vylan, Capisti etc by now ... but a nice reminder of the ‘mark e smith’ factor in uk rap

didn't really know much of the Streets so was cool to listen to link above. really liking Sleafords and We Live here from Bob Vylan is one of the most powerful tracks I've heard for a while.

Bob Vylan and Sleaford Mods remind me more of Crass and The Fall, than the Clash. I just don't think they have the same level of 'danger' as those bands had back in the days. I guess the current establishment is more preoccupied with Drill rap and the associated violence, that is if they are even concerned with what is going on in youth culture nowadays.
