DIY question. If I use a 5V microcontroller in a DIY module, and some pins output gate and trigger signals, should there be something in between the "raw pin" and an AE input ? the wiki page: wiki.aemodular.com/pmwiki.php/AeDiy/SignalVoltageLevels mentions 1k ohm output impedance, but I can't quite understand if that is only for audio signals. Same question for creating CV signals with a 5V DAC

Yes otherwise you risk it to burn out your if it were to connect to ground, which could happen in connecting the output to modules that expose GND (like the brAEd board?).

So i need to put 1K resistors inline with the outputs of my module ?
It makes sense to limit current :-)
