Using audio as a gate signal will of course work, I simply never thought about patching it that way. Interesting. I guess I'm still quite traditional in the patching of my signals.
The thing I learned from my own patch was that the idea of building a patch that solely consists of 2ENV and 2VCA modules is actually very possible and can produce music/sound. There is another idea for a patch challenge.
I've been meaning to record this for over a week now, and finally got around to it.
It is not strictly random but, like most computers' random, is too complicated to work out! The base is the Euclid Grid module where I use 3 sequences with different lengths (so they also have different triggers); two feed into the logic module and the out triggers the "bass" sound. One sequence is reused (so they are on the same timing) and the 3rd are put into the 3VCSwitch module, the out triggering the snare drum in the Drumkit010 module through the lo-fi delay.
